ESPN Events extends, expands agreement with StatBroadcast

CHARLOTTE, NC --

ESPN Events and StatBroadcast have extended their agreement to include the 2015-16 edition of the 17 events that have been carried on the StatBroadcast network the past several years and expanded the agreement to include the St. Petersburg Bowl and the Jimmy V Classic basketball tournament.

ESPN Events owns and operates a portfolio of collegiate sporting events including Division-I basketball tournaments, college football season kickoff and post-season bowl games; ESPN Events is a subsidiary of ESPN.

StatBroadcast and ESPN Events partner together on basketball events including the State Farm Champions Classic, Puerto Rico Tip-off, DirecTV Wooden Legacy, Advocare Invtiational, Jimmy V Classic, Hawaiian Airlines Diamondhead Classic and the Armed Forces Classic; it also partners with StatBroadcast for bowl games includin the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Marmot Boca Raton Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, St. Petersburg Bowl, Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl, Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and the Birmingham Bowl.

The St. Petersburg Bowl is played annually at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida since 2008 and will feature a team from the American Athletic Conference against a team form either the ACC, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference or Sun Belt Conference. This year's game will take place on December 26, 2015.

The Jimmy V Classic is a pair of college men's basketball games that will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 8, 2015. This year's matchups will feature West Virginia vs. Virginia and Maryland vs. UConn. Coinciding with Jimmy V week, which takes place across the entire ESPN platform of networks, proceeds from the event benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research. This year marks the 21st year of Jimmy V week and the 13th edition of the Jimmy V Classic.
